The Great Fight For Disability Rights
We are proud to launch The Great Fight for Disability Rights, a mixed media DVD with film and curriculum designed for grade school educators.
When school children are given the opportunity to learn about this civil rights movement, understanding and acceptance of differences will naturally follow. Based on the acclaimed documentary “Lives Worth Living”, this innovative, completely accessible mixed media DVD is an introduction to the history of the disability rights movement in the United States. There is a short film divided into two 15-minute parts plus a thoughtful, concise curriculum to assist educators in introducing this important civil rights fight to their students. Includes subtitles, descriptive audio track and spoken menus.
